On 16th<\/sup>\u00a0March, SomosCR was delighted to collaborate with our colleagues at\u00a0Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust,<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Central Library, Manchester, to present our “Somos Mujeres” event, which took place in the Performance Space, Central Library, Manchester City Centre.\u00a0 The event was part of Manchester City Council’s International Women’s Day celebrations. The event also included an exhibition of Latin American dolls with information placards, Latin American food from La Bandera restaurant, coffee from Chester’s \u00a0503 Coffee Roastery and Latin American music from female duo Mestisa.\u00a0 The event was fully attended (over subscribed, in fact) and very well evaluated.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Our work supports and promotes Latin American culture in Manchester and the North West of England, and to this end we have worked on various projects with Instituto Cervantes, the University of Manchester, the University of Liverpool, Sheffield Hallam University amongst others. Our events have all been very successful and an important part of the hispanohablante community which continues to grow in the North West of England.<\/em><\/p>\n

El 16 de marzo, SomosCR tuvo el placer de colaborar con nuestros colegas de Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust, Biblioteca Central, Manchester, para presentar nuestro evento “Somos Mujeres”, que tuvo lugar en el Performance Space, Biblioteca Central, Manchester City Centre. <\/p>\n

El evento fue parte de las celebraciones del D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer del Ayuntamiento de Manchester. El evento tambi\u00e9n incluy\u00f3 una exhibici\u00f3n de mu\u00f1ecas latinoamericanas con carteles informativos, comida latinoamericana del restaurante La Bandera, caf\u00e9 del 503 Coffee Roastery de Chester y m\u00fasica latinoamericana del d\u00fao femenino Mestisa. El evento cont\u00f3 con una asistencia completa (sobre suscritos, de hecho) y muy bien evaluado. <\/p>\n

Nuestro trabajo apoya y promueve la cultura latinoamericana en Manchester y el Noroeste de Inglaterra, y para ello hemos trabajado en varios proyectos con el Instituto Cervantes, la Universidad de Manchester, la Universidad de Liverpool, la Universidad Sheffield Hallam entre otros. Nuestros eventos han sido todos muy exitosos y una parte importante de la comunidad hispanohablante que sigue creciendo en el noroeste de Inglaterra.<\/p>\n\t
